The Week of March 3rd

Will spring ever come?  Hopefully we will have a full week of school!  This week we will learn about Dr. Seuss, continue with fairy tales, continue with telling time to five minute intervals and continue writing books in a series.

We will be finishing up Unit 6 in math and Unit 4 in our Scott Foresman reading series.  We will also have a quiz on adding to 16.  It would be helpful to practice math facts at home for fluency.  In first grade students should be able to add and subtract with facts up to 20.

Spelling words for this week are: any, kind, anything, inside, seen, free, green, tree, she and he  Bonus Words are:  Dr. Seuss, author, weather
