The Week of March 17th
This week we will be starting a new unit on weather. Students will learn about different types of storms and the water cycle. We will continue to work on counting coins and will begin to understand fractions.
This week is Down Syndrome Awareness Week. Each day there are different activities planned.
Has your child come home singing a song about the 50 States? We are filling up a map of the United States with different state quarters. Everytime we get a new state we sing the song "The Fifty States that Rhyme" It is sung to the tune of the Turkey in the Straw. Once the map is filled we will donate the money to a charity.
As spelling patterns get harder please continue to study the words each week. This week's words are:
say, play, may, way, wait, rain, when from, don't, I'm
Bonus words are: rainbow, thunder, umbrella
