We have had a wonderful first week of school. This week the class will start getting homework each night. The goal during the first few weeks of homework is to develop responsibility. Please help your child to remember to send back their completed assignments each day.
Tuesday night is our Back to School Night. I am looking forward to meeting you. This gives you a chance to get an overview of first grade and to look over the materials that your child will be using this year.
We will be starting 2 new series this year. Our math program is Go Math and our whole group reading program is Journeys. We will begin both this week.
Tuesday is Spirit Day. Students should wear Oxford shirts or school colors if possible.
A reminder that our school collects Box Tops, Tyson and Campbell's Soup Labels. Our PTA can trade these in for cash or merchandise for the school.
